Legible
Legible spaces help people living with dementia navigate their neighbourhoods by using obvious design cues to clearly communicate the function or purpose of a space, feature, path, or building.
Clear directions include text with arrows, walking distances, and a map to help people find where to go.
Wayfinding signage shows a public walking route, branded with a recognizable yellow colour, helping people to safely find and connect to key destinations (such as the mall, city hall, and art gallery).
Clear and connected street grids allow pedestrians to navigate the environment with ease.
